Brickyard Brewing Co / Brickyard BBQ

Who wouldn’t want to try ‘Bat Snacks’? Just one of the many beers that the Brickyard Brewing Company (BBC) has on tap. Owners Eric and Ken opened the brewing company seven years ago and it has been successful ever since. “I always had the idea of doing a Brew Pub and it was something that we as a team approached a couple of years ago. A little after the opening of the BBQ & pub we revisited the idea and it just seemed the direction to go in. The region was right for that type of expansion” Steve Matthews, the owners brother says. The company is the first craft brewery in the Village of Lewiston and they have been very successful.

BBC is constantly bringing in new releases and rotating their line of beers. “The menus at the brewery are again totally different then what we do next door” (Brickyard BBQ & Pub) Matthews says. There more focused on an upscale pub menu. There menu consists of wood fire pizza, fish fry and of course beers. One big factor that keeps them successful is the Chamber. “The chamber has been excellent in my opinion. They host meetings for restaurant groups, Lewiston Small Business meetings and they stand behind it. They help advertise on social media and I can’t say enough about them, they’ve been excellent.” Matthews says. Lewiston has a sense of community and that’s what makes everything work.   

As the first brewery in Lewiston, the BBC knows exactly what Small Business Saturday means to the Village. “Lewiston is a seasonal town so generally after Halloween you can just see the sales drop off, the foot traffic slows down. Anything the Village can partake in as a whole is going to help draw foot traffic. It’s going to help the smaller guys that don’t necessarily run restaurants but run boutiques or little small markets things like that it just gets people out and walking around.” Matthews says.

On Small Business Saturday the Brewing Company is offering a $10.00 free gift certificate for every $100 purchased and ½ priced appetizers. The Brickyard Brewing Company is located at 436 Center Street and is open from 4 pm to 9 pm Mon. –Thus., 4 pm to 10 pm on Fri., 11 am – 10 pm on Sat. and 10 am to 8 pm on Sunday.  Facebook and Instagram are the two forms of social media that are updated daily, as well as their website www.BrickyardBrewingCompany.com and www.BrickyardPub.com.
