Artpark announces 10th annual Fairy House Festival for August 15th
(Lewiston, NY)-- Artpark will present its 10th annual Fairy House Festival on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from Noon-4:00pm. Admission is free, but In order to adhere to current social gathering / distancing guidelines, it is requested that interested attendees RSVP in advance for timed admission. Parking will be available for $10.
The popular annual festival for both the young and young-at-heart will be modified to include contact-free activities and feature a walk through tour of artist and community-created fairy houses, winding through the Artpark woods.
Guests will enjoy the whimsical and enchanting Artpark Fairies and roaming musicians with new costume creations by Uta Bekaia. All are encouraged to join the celebration and come dressed up as a fairy or other favorite mystical character, or wear a colorful decorated face mask.
The talents of local artists will be celebrated with special creations for the Festival. Confirmed artists include: Charity Huff, Alexandra Lee, Casey Mark Schultz, Candace Masters, Meredith and Samantha Phelps, Rylee Luczak, Stephanie Kowalski, Tammy ODierno, Ani Hoover, Shasti O'Leary Soudant, Bethany Krull, Jesse Walp, Juniper Moon, Hilary McAndrew, Leeann Catanzaro-Banes and Leah Banes. Plus Color Constellation by Virginia Melnyk Designs.
Fairy House submissions are currently being accepted until August 5th. Visit www.artpark.net for application.
This program joins a robust season of programming adapted for COVID-19, yet still offering a multitude of meaningful and enjoyable ways for the public to experience Artpark. These programs include the Music in the Woods Series, Art of Walking, Strawberry Moon Festival, and Drive-In Films. Artpark also offers public art installations, the Percussion Garden, walking trails, fishing, and other opportunities for recreation and relaxation open daily from dawn until dusk.
