Marble Orchard Ghost Walk

If you haven’t seen the Ghost Walk in a few years, you’re in for a surprise.  After a “beta run” last year, the Lewiston Council on the Arts is pleased to present, “Sailors, Soldiers and Saloons,” an all-new, eerie adventure back in time to meet those who walked these roads before us, who were “only passing through,” but who met a very different fate than they had planned. Walkers meet at the gazebo and then travel together through the haunted streets of Lewiston, finally meeting in the graveyard, also known as the “Marble Orchard.”

It all started with the research and writings from Lewiston genealogist Michelle Kratts–poisonings, burnings, drownings—it’s all there in Lewiston’s history. From there, Michael Dean and Maria Fortuna Dean put together the script, added sound and lighting, and couldn’t resist adding a few songs along the way—two of them composed specifically for this Ghost Walk by Michael.

“The audience feedback was great last year, and we are excited to welcome everyone to this wonderful new experience,” says Maria Fortuna Dean, Executive Director of the Lewiston Council on the Arts
